Gilmour 10 Series 8 Ply Flexogen Hose 1/2 inch x 50 Feet #10-12050 Green Review.
"Last hose you will have to buy" 2009-03-30
By Michael Tree (DECATUR, GA United States)
I have four of these, two of them are twenty years old. One of them sits on the south side of the house, so it is bathed in sunlight year round.
The only time I had a problem was when the water pressure was too high. I thought I would have to cut the ends off and send them in for a new hose, which is how their warranty works, but the water heater started leaking, and I found out the water pressure was way too high, so had a pressure valve and new water heater installed and when that was done, the one that was leaking stopped leaking around the part you screw onto the faucet. This pretty much amazed me that it was not the hose going bad after twenty years.
Another thing I like is that it is pretty thick, and when you coil it up, it doesn't fold like those cheap hoses, and it seems less likely to kink because of this. They also have stayed pretty clean, we have a lot of humidity and I have had garden hoses that get covered with mildew, but not these.
I like quality merchandise and these hoses are just that. What else can you buy once and never worry about having to buy again? Not much these days.
"Flexogen is the best and I like the smaller diameter" 2009-05-23

I've had 2 hoses: a Flexogen and a ordinary hardware store hose for more than ten years. The ordinary hose had a pinhole leak that I tolerated but the constant kinking and the ugly way it hung on my wall hanger finally made me decide to replace it and now I have 2 Flexogens. One note: I decided to go with the half-inch size because I never need huge volumes of water going through the hose. I like the lighter weight; it is easier to manage than my 5/8 inch one.
"Happy with my purchase. Great Quality." 2009-06-20
By E. Brooks (Dallas, Texas)
I don't have an outdoor spigot so I needed a hose that is a good length, durable, and did not kink every 2 inches. I've used this hose for 2 weeks so far and have not had any problems. I am running this hose from the kitchen sink through the dining area and out the front door, so I cannot afford to have a leaky hose. Not a single drop of water has leaked from the faucet, the hose, or even the nozzle. Not one drop. In addition, this hose is having to traverse a minimum of two corners before reaching the front door and I haven't had problems with kinks. Needless to say, I'm happy with the purchase and would highly recommend. I'd like to add that I bought a hose from a well-known hardware store and had problems after the first use. Thank goodness for Flexogen and Amazon.
"Quality product & fast delivery" 2009-06-29

Initially I needed 100' of hose to use in our community garden, so I ordered 2 50'lengths. They needed to be lightweight and not kink easily This hose seems perfect. Delivery was much faster than expected.
"Da Best" 2010-08-30

Hardware stores should carry more of these 1/2 inch water hoses for us Retirees
because they get pretty heavy when there is water in the hose. I like to work
in my yard, but I do not want to drag a heavy water filled hose around. This
new hose will last a life time, which is short for me. Thanks for making work
lighter for me.
